Hike & Paddle Gallipoli
Hike on Rhododendron Ridge and paddle the board to Suvla point.
Itinerary
We begin the day by hiking through the spectacular ridge of Rhododendron Ridge. Natural and human histories are the focus of this hike. Knowledgeable guide will offer discussions on Gallipoli Campaign 1915. We will stop often to enjoy spectacular views of gullies and surrounding peaks. After lunch our guide will outfit participants for the trip and offer a thorough paddleboard lesson. We will paddle starting from where the hike ends through Ocean beach to Nibrunessi point. Once on the water, discussions about Anzac landing in 25 April 1915 and British landing on Suvla in August 1915 is up the the interest of the group. Tour includes paddleboard, life jackets, knowledgeable guide, natural and human history discussions, lunch box, bottle of water and snacks.
Cancellation Policy
Riders must pay 20% of the tour price to reserve a tour. Payment is fully refundable if canceled more than 4 days in advance. Cancellations within 3 days of the day ride (for example, 5 p.m. Wednesday is the deadline for a tour that runs on Saturday) are non-refundable. If inclement weather is forecasted for the day of the ride (inclement weather is defined as the forecasted certainty of sustained, soaking rain and/or high-speed winds…NOT scattered, passing, or intermittent showers) you will be given the option of a full refund or the opportunity to ride on another available date.
