Itinerary

This walk is on steep, mountainous terrain along a winding trail and is not for the faint-hearted but enormously rewarding. It is designed for those who have little time but who can devote half-day to exploring the main area held on Gallipoli by the ANZAC — men of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps — The path is known as the New Zealand Track and was created by the New Zealand government more than a decade ago. The tour itself takes around 5 hours. We meet up at 09.30 at Eceabat Ferry Pier and take a transfer for 15 minutes to Chunuk Bair - the summit of the Gallipoli peninsula where our hike will start. We will walk on Rhododendron spur with views of a magnificent tangle of gullies and ravines all around. It is where some of the toughest fightings of the August campaign occurred. We end the day with an optional swim in the Aegean Sea so do not forget your trunks. If you have time, we strongly recommend you bike or paddleboard from where the hike ends to the Nibrunisi point - Suvla - to embrace the peninsula's beauty from different respective. Min 2 people.
