BIKE SCENERY SUVLA

•Season April to November  • Downhill and  flat  terrain with some moderate uphill   • Mostly dirt tractor road and some  low traffic asphalt   • Distance 40 km  • Estimated biking times 4 hours

Our meeting point is  Eceabat ferry pier  where our private van will pick up all tour participants and take  to the summit of the Gallipoli peninsula., Chunuk Bair.  Here you are  asked to sign a disclaimer and consent to our bike tour policy.  Shortly after you will be handed a comfortable high quality mountain bike  and  a helmet.  Before the tour starts our tour guide will give you a briefing on the general facts and what to expect of the tour, the timing, procedures and local rules regarding biking in Gallipoli and a demonstration of how the bikes work. From there our long bike tour of steady downhills and flat terrain begins.      With this bike tour we will take you to discover yet another unique and spectacular part of peninsula . After passing through some villages  we will be biking by the ocean  till the end of the peninsula.  Along the way we stop some some British and Anzac memorials and cemeteries to remember the fallen. Along our route we do short stops on a few places and tell you interesting facts about the things you are looking at.  Swim break at the end is optional,  transfer back to Eceabat.

BIKE GALLIPOLI VINEYARD 

​

 

• Season April to November  • Mostly flat  terrain with some  moderate uphill,  • Distance 30 km • Dirt tractor road   •Half hour break by the sea where swimming is an option  • Estimated biking time 3-4 hours

While most travellers come to Gallipoli to visit the WW I battlefields and cemeteries, there’s another reason to visit the Peninsula.   Wine. The prime areas for wine tasting in Turkey are Thrace/Marmara and the Aegean. 

There are vineyards inside the Gallipoli National Park, but no winery facilities.  While the area has produced grapes for many years, it’s only recently that local wine production has been commercialised.  O ur biking route goes through  Cabernet Sauvignon,  Chardonnay, Merlot,  Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz.  You meet up with your guide at  Eceabat ferry pier at 09.30 am . Here you are  asked to sign a disclaimer and consent to our bike tour policy. Shortly after you will be handed a comfortable high quality mountain bike  and  a helmet (obligatory until 16 years of age) . Before the tour starts our tour guide will give you a briefing on the general facts and what to expect of the tour, the timing, procedures and local rules regarding biking in Gallipoli and a demonstration of how the bikes work. 

The route commences  at Eceabat  and we bike through inside  the town for 10 minutes which will take us to deep inside the Gallipoli National Park  where the locals are busy of grape, wheat  and olive production business.  The route goes through  moderate hills and flat terrain where fantastic views of the vineyards gives a feast to eyes.   This 30 km ride alternating between light  uphill & straight sections of diverse terrain (dirt and asphalt)  will take you to the coastline to have a swim break.  The tour has been created in such a way that it can be mastered even by those with little MTB experience and is suitable for families with children aged 10 and up.

BIKE CAPE HELLES  

​

Season April to November  • light uphill for short distances and moderate downhills but  mostly flat  terrain. • mostly dirt road and some asphalt 

•  Estimated biking times 4 hours

 

The tour starts at Kilitbahir ferry pier at 09.00 am. We bike through the coastline for about 20 minutes where the straight gets narrowest and pass through castle and two ramperts which has heavily destroyed during the Gallipoli campaign in 1915.  The path  goes among the pine tress on the dirt road.  On our route there will be 2 villages where to have a tea break , 1 Memorial several cemeteries to remember the fallen and a lighthouse ias a museum. Moderate light uphill, mostly flat , mix of dirt and asphalt road.
